Hero Knight's Adventure (Fall 2021)

This is a game I designed and coded entirely on my own. It's a 2D platforming game in which you find abilities which let you make progress.

Story: A hero discovers a mysterious castle. But the entrance closes behind him and locks him in!

• WASD / Arrows - Move
• W - Jump
• E or Right Mouse - Hang from wall
• S - Drop from Hanging
• F - Enter Door
• Space or Left Mouse - Dash (Gained Ability)
• Escape - Pause
• M - mute BGM

I composed the main music of the game using Beepbox.co. I have an Escape theme as well, that I put in the game as a Secret the player can find later.

Status: I spent probably 10 hours today fixing things in this game, maybe more. I think it's ready to be done upon upload of this build (4-1-2022) or it's very very close. I'm happy with all the things that are in it now, and am ready to share it. I changed some of the level layouts, added HUD indicators for certain limited abilities, and also added functional Saving and Loading. Also reorganized a lot of the code to make more sense, but you can't tell.
